This year's event is scheduled for Father's Day weekend, June 18-21, and will be held at Rainbow Plaza, near the Umpqua Discovery Center in Old Town Reedsport.The theme is œOregon 150," in honor of Oregon's sesquicentennial and matches the country's best sculptors saw for saw in a contest to cut massive Sitka spruce logs into works of art. Local competitors compete with carvers from places as far away as Illinois and Colorado, even Japan and Germany. There also are chain saw art auctions and entertainment.
