Gardiner Founder's Day celebration takes place in September ” and there's no time like the present to learn about one of the Oregon Coast's most historical towns.Festivities in the past have included a Gardiner Cemetery tour with a re-enactment of some local history, a two-hour tour of historic homes.Twelve buildings were on the historic homes tour, including Gardiner's old union hall on Front Street, which was built around 1881.Gardiner also hosts an old-fashioned Fourth of July picnic before the fireworks every year on Independence Day.
